The Leo line from BergHOFF brings playful colours, pure shapes and soft textures to the kitchen. Wooden handles versus synthetic ones, soft-touch materials opposed to stainless steel, cork and bamboo fibres, BergHOFF’s in-house designer Pieter Roex has chosen each resource to demonstrate its particular qualities in function and design. An approach that caught the eye of the Red Dot Design jury who promptly honoured the ravioli stamps and the pizza set with the Red Dot Design award. This stylish meat hammer comes with 2 different sides: a rather smooth end for flattening meats and poultry, the other end with “teeth” is used for tenderizing meats. Also great to crush garlic and nuts.
Pieter’s broad knowledge and interest in interior design, architecture and design objects are great resources for designing BergHOFF’s cookware and kitchen items. His personal style is the expression of a modern interpretation of traditional objects which are given a playful twist. His designs can be described as ‘clean clear functional’ while elements of nature are his inspirational triggers.
